Even for someone who is terrified of needles...I still understand the importance of donating blood and now plasma! I was sad to learn that whole blood won't be collected here in Lethbridge anymore, but plasma is an amazing substitute! I got to end 2020 with my 1st plasma donation and it was an absolutely incredible experience right from the beginning! Miss Jaslyn and Miss Sherie took such good care of me even though my anxiety was through the roof. Everyone made sure I was very well taken care of! They gave me stickers and let me spin the wheel (I got an awesome hockey puck!!) And I'm so excited for my next donation next week!

This was a terrible experience. Our appointment was at 7:20 and when we arrived we walked to every single entrance and none were open to the center it was in. It was terribly marked and there was not one sign to guide me to where the actual clinic was. We drove over 2 hours to get here and we did not even donate our blood. It seemed like the nurses left before we even got to our appointment. Worst experience at a blood donation clinic to date.

Entrance is not clearly marked on any outside doors to building. We are from out of town coming to donate blood due to Brooks clinic always being full. There was no contact phone number for the local Lethbridge center for us to even phone to find put what door to use. All the entrance doors were closed. No visible signage for Alberta Blood Donor clinic.

The only other blood donation experiences I’ve had are in the pop up donation clinics in Calgary. This clinic however is super easy to get to, had fantastic nurses and great volunteers! If I donate, I donate here
