Never had an issue with Victor until my OMC cobra outdrive was “miss assembled”, vertical shaft shims were placed between the thrust bearing and thrust washer....what happens? it makes a huge mess inside. Turned the shim into paper and ran through the thrust bearing, wrecked the bearing housing. Wrecked the shims, thrust bearing and thrust washer. In turn it caused miss alignment onto lower gear set. Wore my BRAND NEW gear set and chipping occurred. ALL WITHIN 5 hours of runtime. Boat has been in the water for 5 hours in the past 2 years as it’s always broken so it never gets used. LUCKILY I hit a rock after those 5 hours which bent another prop shaft so while repairing that I found the damage from the miss assembly. Brought this up to Victor and he doesn’t want to admit to his mistakes. So if you value your time and money and own a OMC think twice before taking it in to these guys. Cant speak for other makes and models. This is just my experience with them, just too bad you can’t trust the “pros”. Honesty and trust go a long way , just too bad not many have that anymore.

I booked it in for a carb, pouring fuel out of it...he said I’ll rush it through because I was on holidays.never heard back , called him on my last day of holidays, says runs great , minor carb adjustment...I said on the phone no way that fixed it...said it again when I got there... drove to the lake, ran exactly the same, wasted my time and money, all they did was turn the idle down, so it’s 20x harder to start. And again my house and garage stink of fuel...also pinched off both speaker wires, and side bumper rubber all pulled out... not impressed
