This is one of my favourite places in the city!!! I'm a uni student, and it's really easy for upscale places to make young people feel unwelcome, however, Peter (the owner and the sweetest man alive) took so much time to help me find a beautiful product in my budget and to make me smile when I was having a really bad day! You can tell how passionate the owner is, and he is really one of the most wholesome and kind people that I've met! Peter was so lovely that when he picked out this ruler for me it felt so special that I bought it just to keep it as a reminder that there are beautiful, kind and helpful people in the world. I bring it to every exam to keep me calm - Peter gave me a good luck charm that I will cherish forever! \u003c3

I saw an ad for this shop on Google and was delighted to learn that they are Canadian owned and based in Toronto. I have not been able to make a purchase as yet and I wish Peter the best of luck and all the success during these hard times. There's no place quite like it- this oasis of calm civility, with everything you could ever ask for in the way of ink and pens. Extremely knowledgeable staff can guide your purchase of (for instance) your first really grown-up pen, plus exactly the right ink to go with it. In addition, Laywine's stocks a well-curated treasure trove of office accessories, notebooks, planners, fine stationery, and a small but wonderful selection of witty greeting cards for all occasions. I love this place.
