I purchased my door and system from JPR in 2015. Cost approx. 3000 to install. Issues at installation - they had to return 3 times since my tracks and doors were not operating as intended. The motor backup battery never worked and they refused to change the motor 9 months after installation. Fast forward 5 years... my spring broke after 4200 cycles. They needed to send a technician for 263 tx in to \measure the custom spring\ - note that I am 7km away from their shop and had to pay a 100 premium for being in Montreal. They refused to use the information that was on the initial statement of work at installation under pretext that the door and spring came \as-is\ from supplier and that they needed to remeasure. The technician was nice and provided a temporary fix to open the garage door for emergency because I requested it - work lasted 15-20 min. More than a week passed, no call-back from JPR. Called customer service to complain that no one had contacted me and that my door was still not functional. Asked for a refund of the initial cost and they dispatched a technician the following day at a \special discounted cost\ of 387 tx in.to complete the repair of both springs. In conclusion, 650 \included a discount\ to repair a door that is 5 years old. Very disappointing considering they sell their products at a premium under pretext that you are buying quality.

Garage door stopped working. Servicemen arrived to tell me it's the gear and that motor is 1998 and too old to just change a part. Replacement of motor a must. 141.41 for that visit. Then you need to wait for a salesman to call you with a price. He only gave me the belt opener price and not the chain system. When i asked if the initial service call bill will be deducted i was told 50 can be deducted and that was only because i asked. I was turned off!! I called a smaller company and was told 1998 was not too old a motor could last 30 years depending on the usage. I do not park in my garage so it is rarely used. The serviceman came fully equipped with parts and a brand new garage door opener. He changed the gear and suggested i change the rollers which were inferior in quality and probably the cause of the problem. (Which i would like to mention was installed by JPR in 2015-new garage door). I would never call them again!! Why didn't the first guy that came not been prepared to fix or replace? Why do i have to wait a few days for a call from a salesman? And to boot you have to pay for the initial call and they don't even consider removing it if you decide to go with them. Poor business decision!!

I had my garage door changed on March 15 2019 and I must say great price, amazing sales rep Dany and the installers were fast efficient and professional and courteous. I strongly recommend JPR any time anywhere and this is coming from a very picky individual.
