I think most of the pics posted so far show the park near the Fraser River side. We entered from the Houston Trailhead near 102 Ave and McKinnon Crescent. That parking lot is very small (maybe 15 cars max). There is a washroom there. The Houston Trail is well maintained gravel. There are enough elevation changes to make it fun but not difficult. At the north most corner of the trail you can branch off to the Park Heritage Area which I recommend. It has large open areas with benches, and amazing structures with a lot of posted information. I loved the barn and found the decorative hole at the top intriguing. Especially the view of it from the inside as seen through the panels. There are multiple paths back the the Houston Trail. On the way back you will pass a rest area with beautiful north/northwest views. I look forward to visiting again when it snows.

A great place to go for a walk. People are distancing themselves appropriately, the mountain scenery is gorgeous, and the smell of wood fires at the day camp sites is comforting. Outhouses are available.

Although the camp ground is closed for over night camping, it is still open on a first come first serve basis for family pick nicking and fishing. On a sunny day it's great to see so many groups enjoying the camp sites along the river with a camp fire. If that's not your thing then a great walk on a very well maintained forest trail May help to calm your city nerves.

Really nice park. They have campsites that you can pull your car directly into that’s right next to the Fraser river. They also have fire pits. Also a nice park to just go for a walk.

Derby Reach is a great place to walk in nature. There are trails to follow and such lovely scenery! We enjoyed a BBQ lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon in mid October. We got to use a couple of picnic tables in the shelter right by the Fraser River with a fire pit right on the river bank so it was just wonderful! After we packed up my hubby and I walked for a bit since it was my first time there!
