Third time I've been turned away for a repair! After 20 years, I will be finding a different tire supplier. The policies at Kal Tire prevent the staff from making practical decisions on a case by case basis. I get that they want to sell me a new tire, but there is no way this nail is a safety concern if they repair it. So long Kal tire, after once again proving you have a policy to sell new rubber instead of repairing a perfectly serviceable one, you've permanently lost a customer and all the potential customers in our growing family of vehicle owners. Edit: (If your safety standards were about safety instead of profit, I could agree) The place I went after Kal Tire made no comment on the location of the nail and happily repaired it at no charge. It is holding air just fine and I don't expect it to explode on me while I drive down the highway. I anticipate getting many more kilometres on this tire before it needs to be replaced. Perhaps Kal Tire should review their policies in this new era of social media. As I scrolled through other online reviews of Kal Tire, I found other people with very similar experiences to mine. The reason I decided to leave this review is due to the fact that I have recently experienced more than one occasion to refuse a viable repair in hope of selling a new tire instead. What a waste of money and an added burden on the environment to suggest throwing away something that was easily repairable! And shame on your apathetic reply...

You can expect very good and professional customer service from all the service consultants. Book your appointment in advance to be able to get serviced in a timely manner. Have been a customer of this location for several years now for tires and service as well.
I have dealt with Kal Tire for many, many years and had great experiences. Sadly this was my first and last experience with this location. I was in the market for new rims and tires as well as a brake job for my 2008 3500 Chevy Silverado. I stopped by to get a quote and the sales rep gave me about 3 minutes of his time. Said he would email me info and a quote. Never heard back from him. Since that time I spent approximately 4,000.00 on Custom wheels and tires and 2,800.00 on brakes. To bad for them. I found their explanation very reasonable and I believe them when I was told it was a technical glitch.
