The sales \pitch\ was awesome. Very attentive to details and we had thought we made the right decision to go with Lakewood. However, as others have mentioned, once the house arrived in mid-July we have had nothing but problems. Our home is still not completed. Emails and phone calls not returned. We finally sent an email to Kent Homes directly in late October. We had a concise and well written response in early November from a Kent Home representative indicating that all of our concerns would be addressed. To date, we have had no further contact from Kent Homes or Lakewood Custom Homes. The home, on its own, we are overall pleased with. However, the installation and follow through with the company has been frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would like to recommend Kent Homes however with the current distributor I could not recommend. Lakewood provides a false assurance that they will take care of every detail and that they are working with you. Sadly, this is simply not the case once they have your signed agreement and deposit.

Rick is nice and knowledgeable. Seems professional and offers a quality product. Some of the other reviews don't seem too favorable, but we might give it a chance anyway.
The service I received from Rick and Andrew at Lakewood Custom Homes was top notch. Every question asked was answered promptly, I was able to get accurate project estimates and project scope which was incredibly helpful. Though we didn't end up choosing Lakewood as our custom home dealer, their support and expertise was pivotal during this early phase of our journey toward building a home. I would recommend Lakewood in a heartbeat.
Great family run business. We would highly recommend them. They made it easy to pick and design our house. Even had a designer come in and help us. I would give them five stars for that. But since our house has been delivered. It is another story. Our house was delivered the first week of October. It is still not complete!!!!! We had nothing but heartache. We are hoping and praying that things will change. The bones of our house is good. It just needs to be FINISHED.
