Since Soda Pop Central closed in the original location I've seen essentially no news or updates concerning the new spot, in Lakefield. Now, as of February 2020 the new owners, Sweet Competition is closing. Perhaps I'm just sour grapes, but this probably the worst outcome for what became of Soda Pop Central - its a shame that after 20 years of business by Glass Act in Whitby for the new owner to fold up after less than 2 years. In a way, when the new location when to Lakefield, it had already died, but at least the website could have continued going. However, any time I tried to reach out to make an order I never got any response. I would love to see there be another soda pop type shop open up in Ontario in a location that makes sense (ie, near a 400 series highway or in a larger city) but I'm just glad I got to experience the real Soda Pop Central when it was active.

Amazing section, would recommend!
Loved the old place, but I think it's in good hands with the new owner. Now to have both a candy store and pop store combined is great. Having selections from different places in one place is a great idea. For a place just getting up and running, they have a great selection of pop from the old store and with new stuff on the way. I think when we go back again, there will be even more to choose from. It may be a long drive from Toronto, but it's worth the time. If you like different kinds of pop's from different places, come to Soda pop central!
Good service and friendly staff. Prices are high but they have an amazing selection. I wish prices were better and they had a bigger selection of sugar free items.
Highly recommend dropping by to pick up or look at all the different types of soda pop they offer. There was everything from various never-hear-of brands of cola to root beer all the way to grape soda or even some really peculiar flavours like pumpkin pie soda. The staff was very friendly and helpful sharing their thoughts on some of the more popular choices.
Good selection of hard to find candy and soda brands. Friendly service provided by Gwen. Definitely worth a visit.
Kind of pricey but wow! Such unique product. If you are looking for unique soda pop and candy to give as a gift, this is a great place to shop.
If you love soda pop in glass bottles you will love this place. They had soda pop I had not seen any where else and some I didn't even know they still made. Both Dave and Jenn were both very helpful.
