Found this place by total fluke. We were making our way to Tofino and my daughter got car sick so we had to pull over. She was fine after walking around for a bit but in the meantime we stumbled upon a true gem. The area was so big and looked like so much to do. There were huge ocean liner ships to people with kayaks, saw kids in the playground too. Beautiful day as well, people were on bikes, walking dogs and just soaking up the sun before it gets cooler. Gonna make a trip to come here for the day or perhaps the weekend itself.
It's a great large beach. Easy to social distance. The facilities are always clean. During high tide it makes for a good brisk swim. During low tide you can search for rocks, shells and find tiny crabs of all colors which my son loves! There's a sand play area, water park, kayak launch, basketball courts, volleyball, horshoe toss, and a large park for kids. There's plenty to do here and lots of land for kids to run around or for people to picnic on.
Had a truly amazing experience here. Drove up from Victoria and within a few moments of arriving we were greeted with a pod of 6/7 Orcas playing in the water. Watched them for over 15min as they breached the water and showed off for the people and boaters. Once that was over there was a family of river otters right beside us in the water enjoying a nice fish lunch. Wow, what a lucky time to arrive. Loved our visit here. (Sept 28, 2020)
This is a great place for the whole family. Playground for the kids. Sand or grass and sun or shade. Food can be purchased from a food truck and the washrooms are cleaned regularly. We kayaked to an island nearby and enjoyed the views as well as the curious seal who was keeping an eye on us. A fun day.
Great place for a small stroll along a rocky shoreline. Easy to access ..lots of parking. Play area for all ages of children.and the water park is great too. Transfer Beach is very well looked after .
Picturesque beach with water splashpark and playground for kids. Amenities include picnic tables, park benches, washroom, changerooms, kayak rental facilities and large group picnic shelter. Often there are food trucks providing good concession services. Parking is plentiful and close to park area.
Love this park. Splash Water park for the kids that adults would love. Lots of park area, benches, picnic tables, couple of food trucks, washrooms. Playground for toddlers and up. Lots of parking. Great views of the water.
