Fresh produce and a surprisingly large selection of products to cook mexican dishes

This is my absolute favourite little grocery store in Ottawa. They have a wonderful selection of goods from around Latin America.

This store is a hidden gem. Their selection is insane and the owners are super sweet. (Also, they always have fully ripened avocados for when you don’t have time for the big box stores selection to ripen. Way better quality too)

C

COVID-Safe Ottawa

Signage is prevalent, however sanitizer was not available during our visit. A plexiglass shield is installed at the cash, but the usual worker does not wear a mask at all. The store layout is not conducive to social distancing as customers double back onto the cash lineup to exit the store. We recommend shopping off-hours to help ensure distancing is possible in the store, and to avoid this location until the workers wear masks. COVID-Safe Ottawa reviews local business' compliance with recommended COVID safety protocols in order to help Ottawa find safe places to shop.

They sell some frozen tropical fruits and Salvadoran pupusas and other goodies, affordable prices.

Visited this place back in December. There was just so much dust, it wasn't very appealing. But what I really did not like was the expired products. Check the dates before you buy anything here or you'll regret it when you get home. They also need to work a bit on their business' exterior appearance. Wish I could say better things.

Staff is nice but the store is VERY DUSTY. I had to wipe away dust to read the date on the Canned food. There was a whole shelf of cans that expired in 2017 and we are about to go into 2020. Not the first time I have seen expired food here. It was very off putting so I left empty handed. They also don't accept Credit Cards here.
