Dave and staff are well-rounded and facilitate a wonderful experience. They have a breadth of knowledge about the local communities and the rich biodiversity of Kyuquot Sound. I have visited Spring Island twice with school groups and the experience was nothing less than phenomenal. Staff are educated, organized, friendly, and very kind. Highly recommend getting your feet wet in this paradise!

My husband summed it up best when he said, "It's nice to knock something off your bucket list that you didn't even know was there". We were so impressed with the entire 4 day trip, I don't even know where to start, but I'll try. Dave and his entire team (Ryan, Kellan, Mo and Hannah) were so welcoming, we felt at home as soon as we arrived. They all shared an amazing wealth of information with us about the history, culture, natural wonders and wildlife of the area. Definitely a very enriching experience. They are patient and kind with those of us new to kayaking and offered lots of tips and tricks to keep us all above water. The camp itself is lovely and the food, well, let's just say I thought I got lots of exercise but I came away a couple pounds heavier, LOL. We certainly didn't want for anything. Lastly, Spring Island boasts an incredible old growth forest that is spiritual in its majesty. I've lived on Vancouver Island for almost my whole life (63 years) and I learned so much more about my home during this trip that I felt like I was visiting for the first time. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience our beautiful west coast. Thank you Dave, Mo, Ryan, Kellan and Hannah!
You can have no idea how glorious this is ! I am off to have a second stay. They have thought of everything. You will be warm , comfortable and well fed in sublime surroundings with dear people. Scenery, wild life, an serenity OFF THE GRID!!! Just do it..it will lift you soul and make your heart sing! Margaret July 2016 I went for the third year in a row! Wouldn't miss it.
