Amazing service! A couple weeks ago I snapped a ski - I went in to Kunstadt in Chelsea. I had great service from a couple guys (one named Eric??) - they took the time to ensure the ski was right for me. I ended up walking out with a pair of Fishers and they've been perfect. Keep up the good work!

Poor customer experience: Bought a pair POW mittens online, Chelsea store pickup. After week of riding, they fell apart; palms had several rips and stitching let go. Returned them to the store, staff was helpful, agreed that it was unacceptable but a manager would need to call me to process the online return. Manager called with a very different opinion: it was completely my fault and proceeded to accuse me. First, my dog had chewed them (don't have a dog), then I must have intentionally ripped them and finally that I just didn't know how to use mittens. Did my best to explain that the last pair had lasted me 15 years, but manager was adamant on no refund, no exchange for a different pair. Finally agreed to try and get them warrantied, but said it would take long time because warranty was backed up, somehow oblivious to the irony. Manager was suppose to follow up with me, never did, but 2020 happened, understandable. I called them and they had lost the gloves, and thus offered in store credit. Great. I picked up a new pair this week, but not before they insisted, some 8 month later, that it was still all my fault, lucky they had lost them, because I did not deserve the store credit. I guess its coincidence that they no longer sell the POW brand. I hate to write a negative review, especially on the local little guy, but retailers need to stand behind what they sell, and not assume the customer is either a con or ignorant.
A service from Filip at Kunstadt; he fitted me a pair of ski boots for me and my daughter ; punched them out and increased flex for me and fixed the bunion issue she had; they fit and perform perfectly. I also had Eric sharpen and wax 3 pairs of skis for us. Again, an exemplary job and above all amazing customer service. We’ll be back for custom footbeds.
I have to say I had the best service from Eric and Fil. I came in looking for new skis and boots. They listened, made suggestions, and Fil custom-fitted my boots (nasty bunion!) on the spot. Just had my first day of skiing on the new equipment (Dynastar Omeglass skis and Lange boots) and the gear was all I expected and more. Very good recommendations from them on the gear that suited my style of skiing. I wouldn’t go to any other place for ski equipment. Great service! And now bicycling season is up on us....! Great service, helpful staff. Phil is a fabulous boot fitter. Highly recommend him. Thanks for shipping the ski boots back to Kanata once they are completed.

Excellent service! I highly recommend. They re-mounted my bindings, waxed and sharpened my skis while I waited. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable technicians. I will be back.
