There are a couple of staff members that are good people. Overall be prepared to be treated like a 2nd class citizen. How you feel and what you think means nothing in comparison to the staff since you are an addict or alcoholic. They give advice concerning things that are none of their business such as relationships. I had an appointment to go here for help at 8pm tonight and received a phone call a few hours before and was told I wasnt allowed to go because there was a girl there that i know who her and I were in a previous relationship together. Her and I spoke on the phone (on good terms) I let her know I was coming in as well as a friend convinced me it is time to get help. She made the mistake of telling them about it and somehow this made me ineligible to come in tonight. I called back about an hour after to inquire (politely) as to where it is in their policy that if you know somebody who is already there that you are therefor ineligible. It was Gord i was speakkng to and he very rudely informed me that it is written in a place that “I will never get to see”. In the end I have no idea whether my ex is telling the truth or if the employees are... but the bottom line is as a 2nd class citizen its none of my business. This place is really messed up. Imagine being denied medical treatment because somebody that you know is already there? What a joke!

Amazing Staff. Great food. This place makes a bad situation into a transitional period, with a wealth of resources for those who genuinely want to get better. Bring your own hangers for clothes though!

This is an essential service. This is *MY* experience. It's bare bones. You detox in a big room with 3 beds for women and I don't know how many for the men. There's no support. You're forced to go to AA nightly otherwise you're kicked out. The food was disgusting. Staff are apathetic to clients. When/if you're sent to the hospital, the staff come in with you and make a big deal. I was personally singled out, was entertainment for the others and when I turned to staff they couldn't care less. I was never so happy to leave.
