Good place to bowl.... Food isn't anything special. Found out its booked for leagues Monday thru Thursday so walk ins can only bowl Friday to Sunday upon lane availability.
2.5 - 3 Stars. This is just an average bowling alley in every way. Food is OK. Service is OK. Arcade is small and OK (much smaller than it looks on the website & only takes loonies). Prices for bowling and food are fairly average. It does have lots of well maintained bowling lanes and they're nicely organized. As mentioned in other reviews, the system for tallying scores is out of date. It has a few loonie billiard tables as well and a more private adult bar in the back.
Good experience. The manager and lady at the concession made sure we had the best experience possible and even took a picture of us, although we are undergoing COVID-19. Will for sure return soon.
My husband and I enjoyed our experience at AMF Frederick. We were able to play two games of bowling which was really fun. It was especially interesting for my husband whose from Nova Scotia and is used to Candlestick bowling. Funny still where the gentleman at the table with us using the lane next to us who showed us during our very last frame that we were holding the ball incorrectly. We were able to enjoy a drink which was quite nice. We didn't have any loonies but the pool table in the bar was only a buck a game. And we definitely enjoyed using the arcade area. Look forward to coming back soon for another date.
Our go-to bowling place! We always have a blast whether we are bowling or hanging out in the arcade. Snacks and drinks aren't bad and the staff is usually pretty great! Plus the prices are pretty much unbeatable. Make sure you call ahead if you're unsure of the schedule or if you think it might be busy. Sometimes there are leagues or tournaments happening and the public bowling lanes are limited!
Usually an alright place and we were having a great time before it got ruined. We were the only people there and we're doing our best to follow all the rules - not allowed to choose your ball, not allowed outside the tape zone for your table, no arcade, no food/drink, all masked up....we played by the rules So why, WHY would you seat a family of 6 at the lanes and table RIGHT NEXT TO US when literally every other lane/table was open. Seriously? Not once, but twice, we had to wait for one of their kids to get out of our taped table zone so we could safely bowl our turn. It ruined the whole outing for us. We threw away most of our second game so we could just leave...and went for pizza slices. Very disappointing. I took pics and posted on twitter.
Loved the place. Great staff. Great game. Great beer!
