After filling out a contact form, Mr Gariepy called me back. I found him difficult to talk to! First of all, he didn’t ask for any details or even broad strokes re: what my lawn is like, what our goals were etc, he just started with “you want us to come do the clean up?” and I clarified that I was looking into options for re-landscaping and turning the lawn into what we wanted it to be. He replied “ok, we’ll do the clean up and then talk about landscaping”. I again said I was interested in landscaping options and I wasn’t sure we needed a clean up (especially before re-landscaping??). He said “I have all the equipment and the workforce - do you want me to come do it?”. By now I felt like we weren’t quite on the same page and was not sure exactly what he was proposing to do. I asked if he did consultations and he said “yes, it’s 100 for a consultation and then we refund it when you hire us”. I don’t really mind paying for a consultation but 1) the website says free consultation and 2) at this point I needed more info about what he was proposing to do, and I thought perhaps it would be good for him to have some idea of what we wanted, and based on his disinterest in discussing those two rather major points I wasn’t at all sure I wanted to hire them. I made a lame excuse of needing to talk to my husband about it - “why do you need to talk to your husband? About the consultation fee? The reason we charge is so we can find out if you’re serious or not, we don’t want you just wasting our time. You just call me if you want to book (click)”. Fair enough - I won’t waste your time and I won’t let you waste mine!! Negative review......
