Love this bookstore! Kestrel Books is a gem of a bookstore for all you bookworms wanting to find treasures you otherwise wouldn't get in any big box store. Nestled in the hub of West 4th, you can grab a coffee a block over, but stay for the fantastic selection of books. Books are organized, in good condition, with good value. And you'll feel great supporting small businesses!

Walked in today and was pleasantly surprised. It’s quiet, quaint and neatly organized . I’ve been to other used book stores and they do not look like this.
Kestrel Books is a such a delight. I roamed the aisles for hours and got completely lost in all the lovey books. There’s always an abundance of good books here and the pricing is always more than fair. I make a trip out to Kestrel a couple times a month for all my pleasure reads.
frequent customer here. The store carries great selections, especially in science, psychology, art, among other areas. Plus books are reasonably priced which should be appreciated. The owner Ron is a very knowledgeable and kind person. It's always a pleasure to have a conversation with him.
I love this book store. I've found several Oracle/ tarot decks that i love here. He's got a great selection of mystical, eastern and alternative philosophies. Pet the resident kitty before you leave!
