I was very impressed with the service and professionalism of Kent Employment Law. We were able to set up an appointment the same day we called. I had the pleasure of having a phone meeting with lawyer Stephanie. She listened to my legal questions and provided me with clear guidance and what my options were. I had never dealt with a lawyer before, and I am glad I did, as she made me realize I had rights as an employee and made what for me was a very challenging event a little easier and has allowed me to move forward with a little more knowledge. Thank you very much Kent Kent Employment Law and Stephanie.

Over the span of approximately two weeks the firm asked me to acquire information from my previous employer, once documents were provided to the lawyer at Kent Employment the lawyer had then provided me with an agreement to retain him for his services, as this agreement had not mentioned an approximate amount of what I would receive within the agreement (only the lawyers cut) I then asked for the lawyer to respond to my email with a ballpark amount, the lawyer had then asked to set up a phone call for a few days later. During the phone call the lawyer had asked me if I was full/part time despite previously providing this information at the onset, once this information was mentioned the lawyer advised that it was not worthwhile. The lawyer had asked me to provide my previous years' earnings, why couldn't of he mentioned that in the same email when he wanted to set up a phone call instead of scrambling to locate this information leading up to the phone call? Don't get me wrong this firm was very helpful in assisting me in asking what questions I should be asking of my previous employer, but other than this firm is not very organized, and I feel I could've got a second opinion elsewhere if time had allowed for it.

Richard Johnson was great from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. The outcome was even better than I expected! I highly recommend Richard and his team. He is indeed a winner!

Fiona McFarlane provided extremely detailed and helpful advice during our consultation. After our appointment, she followed up with even more information by email, which I was able to put to good use.

Was doing my due diligence and confirming if the company I was terminated from was within legal standards. I was told I could get 5000 dollars instead the 3000 I was offered in my severance package. I decided to go for it. When they sent me me cheque, they failed to tell me that they didn’t take into account the retainer and what was previously paid to me so my severance ended up being less what what it would have been if I had accepted the original offer. They basically screwed me knowing that I wouldn’t get anymore money, just to take my money from me. Do not recommend.
