WorkBC has lots of resources, however, I have used them in the past just to print resumes and look through their job ads and it would seem this service is no longer offered. You have to sign up and be registered. I liked it more when they had drop in services. The reason I don't use their full services is that they are geared to help people get jobs, not help with more advanced careers. If you have proper education and experience in your field definitely hit up the non government funded employment agencies instead. If you are looking for work in the grocery/ retail/food service industry, part time work or very entry level reception/office assistant positions then WorkBC can help.

When it comes to government agencies I find thay r very bland and have no sense Of humour. Not to mention cove 19 in 2020 has every one within the system kinda offspring. The overall morale within these agencies is very bleak. Perhaps there just drinking too much coffee .

This is a typical government funded program where there are a lot of people doing a lot of things, mostly paperwork and repetitive questions, takes forever and goes nowhere. Been working with them to help find my special needs son a job and that started in November. It's July now and we were just moved along to take our next step. It started with the exact same questions we just spent the last 6 months answering. I was you can't be serious. Just to add how sad the situation is there. Their answering machine plays this ear piercing flute music full blast and there is no way to avoid it when you call. The staff said they know about it and it drives them crazy too but there is nothing they can do about it. Really? It's been that way for 6 months and nobody can fix the hold music? No words \u200d️. It also took me 5 times entering the extension number before I could get through to leave a message.

3 times in a row I've had my initial sit down appointment to help me figure out what services I require be cancelled. Usually about an hr before the appointment.
