I stayed in Ottawa for two months and this restaurant has become by far my favorite in the area. The first thing you notice is that the chef is very friendly and welcoming. If you order any of the lamb dish, he will proudly tell you that you are served fresh local lamb and not frozen New Zeland lamb. Not sure what to eat? If you don't mind a dish that uses quite a bit of oil, I recommend the lamb karayi which at the end of the meal you will be cleaning the plate with your naan bread (I had this twice and both time I forget to take a picture). As for appetizer, I recommend the chicken tikka rolls. The attached picture is what you would get for an order of the lamb shank with the tikka roll. I will definitely eat there on my next visit to Ottawa and hopefully remind myself to take a picture before eating.
Amazing experience. Staff is extremely kind and chef checks in to see if you enjoyed your food. Great food, everything that I've tried so far hasn't disappointed me. Amazing taste, and very reasonable prices. Totally worth it, best place to have dinner in my opinion.
I went to eat here tonight. My spouse and I wanted to experience something new and were pleasantly surprised! Everything was cooked fresh and well seasoned. I had chicken and my partner had beef- both were well done. We had their ice cream and a sort of rice pudding. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience new flavours and culture! Great service too! Thank you :)
Absolutely amazing experience! Very friendly owner and staff! And the food did not take long to come and was very fresh and perfectly flavored! The drive was definitely worth it from downtown! Also their green tea after over eating is a great soothing effect!
Best Afghan food in Ottawa!! The eggplant and the sabzi is my favourite! Definitely try the soup, its always different and always amazing especially when you are sick it is the cure! The Lamb is fresh and cooked to perfection. I am never disappointed when I eat here, I always leave stuffed! :) highly recommended the buffet options.
The beef, chicken, lamb, EVERYTHING, is too good. Price is excellent as well for the amount you get. Would HIGHLY recommend this excellent authentic Afghani restaurant. Loved the food and price. Staff is also very friendly, delivery is fast, and store is neat and clean. I would Rate it 10 STARS!
