Over the years, we have adopted 3 cats from Barbara. Barbara nailed it each time when she matched up a cat with us!! They all are sweethearts that have been wonderful companions for us. Barbara is really helpful and does her best to find the perfect match between the animal and the family. If you can't reach her the first time don't give up. Try again or leave a message, she will get back to you! She is extremely busy and is doing her best to keep up with all the phone calls and emails she gets in a day. The Kamloops Humane Society is a Wonderful Organization that we are lucky to have in our area!! Thank-you Barbara and all you volunteers that make a huge difference in the animals and peoples lives you touch!!!

Barbara did a wonderful job matching our senior cat with the perfect home. She even arranged a meet beforehand and updated us afterwards to let us know she was settling in well. Important to remember SHE IS A VOLUNTEER, if you call and she doesn’t answer send an email, she will reply when she gets a chance :) Very grateful for her help and expertise
We are giving a 5 star rating to The Humane Society and in particular to Barbara, who in our opinion is like the \Yoda\ of Cats. I grew up with cats and have owned 5 now myself over the last 35 years. This is our second kitty we have adopted in Kamloops and the very important thing We learned from Barbara was to keep our cats INDOORS! Also, She KNOWS cat personalities and listens to people and places the right cat with the right family! We are very thankful for that! So even tho it may take a day or two for her to respond to you, please be assured, she is listening and working very hard to deal with a lot of people just like you and the placement of these precious kitties to appropriate families. Such a great group and Barbara is really nice and helpful with any question (if you can't reach her the first time don't give up and try again or leave a message, she will get back to you). She will do her best to match an animal that will be allowed to thrive for his whole life in it's new family. This is something that they should be praised for as not every rescue groups will put the animal well being first. This is a very good rescue where the cats are treated extremely well and is absolutely worth supporting.
More like the inhumane society. Tried to adopt this adorable kitty from petland through the inhumane society, we filled out the application and didn't hear back... ): The poor thing remained locked in its cage at petland for weeks and weeks.. we visited it every other day in hopes that we would hear back so we could take him home. I can't believe this horrible society can keep an animal from us, we had a perfect home for it and all the love in the world. Instead they leave it locked in a cage like that... unbelievable. They should be locked in a cage to see how it feels. So eventually it got adopted off to another family... probably some crack shack.. Will never even try to adopt from this place again, I would rather spare myself the humiliation and hurt.
