The restaurant interestingly does not take reservation when we called. My family arrived with our neighbors family; both with children and was told that only member from the same family are allowed to dine together. All other restaurants in Markham and York region are happy to welcome healthy and Covid-19 free diners regardless of their residential status. If you have such policy for your restaurant, why it was not communicated when we called or posted on your website? Not to mention, the rudeness of the staff that brushes us off at the door when hearing we are not from the same household like we are some sick mammals.

Joeys is one of my favorite restaurants. They definitely have of my favorite dishes and finally got to try the impossible burger. The burger really had that burger texture and even you bite into it, there’s the red Color just like a regular but all plant based. I would try it at least once!
First time at a Joey's. Opted for the patio seating. Covid screening was very thorough. Service friendly. The Baja fish tacos was excellent, slightly 'crisp' taco, fish well seasoned. All in all a nice light lunch.
Horrible staff, specially front desk ladies. Upon arrival she insisted that by putting our name on waiting list, doesn’t guarantee we will get a sit and this is at 7:15pm and their last call is at 9:45. She continuously said that there is a big chance We won’t get a table even though they have a 1/5 hour seating limit, with only 6 people ahead of us. We asked how is that even possible and she said sorry that’s all we can tell you. We left our number but went to another restaurant and next thing you know within 30 mints we got a text to go for our table. The level of professionalism is very low and they seem to push you away. I heard them said the exact same thing to patrons before and after us coming in. I truly hope management sees this and does something about it as the staff clearly do NOT care about the well being of business and its survival during this tough times.
Food is very delicious but portions are on the small side. You are definitely paying for the ambience and the venue. The tables are separated by plexiglass inside the restaurant during these covid times.
The food wasn't the greatest. One of us ordered the steak which ended up being quite dry and hard to chew without a good sauce. Luckily, it was past 9pm so there were discounts on the dishes we ordered. The original price would have been way too much for the average quality of food we received.
Joeys Markville is one of my favourite places to dine and have drinks. Unfortunately the restaurant has taken a turn for the worst with new management treating customers disrespectfully. In particular the manager Brenden who is condescending and blatantly racist. He shows 0 respect for customers of colour I’m not the only person who has experienced this in this establishment! And there will be many more reviews to come. Layne Krienki as the president of this company is this the type of culture your company is teaching its leaders it reflects very poorly on your organization!
Food and service here is amazing! The environment is perfect if you just want to kick it back and relax with a few drinks. Can’t wait till things get back to normal so I can visit again!
