How long it's been open, speaks for itself. I've read a lot of bad reviews. It seems like those are just the ones who you can never please. Because this company is very good. I've used them for plumbing and heating and get my equipment maintained with Jim Shipp annually. The technicians are top notch and very knowledgeable.

I tried to get a quote and the lady on the phone wouldn't even let me ask questions
We have called Jim Shipp a few times to do small things around our house and have been happy, but when our water heater broke, they sent a plumber right away, he spent less than a half an hour with us, didn’t fix anything and gave us an estimate to get it replaced. We took a few days to get other estimates and I received a bill for almost eighty dollars for a man to come over for less than a half an hour, do nothing, and then write an estimate. I was expecting a bill for the service call, but eighty dollars for what we got put a sour taste in my mouth. I’m disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere, which is too bad, because we have a lot of business in our old house for a good plumber.
Technician arrived on time and completed job quickly. Handled a surprise issue from old installation very professionally. Pleased with service and price.
