Cannot ask better warm accomodation at that wonderful place walking distance to view point as well as maligne canyon rooms were warm clean kitchen was all the amenities you need to make any fancy dinner remember washroom are outdoor and was fun will be back again

This is a rustic hostel without showers, flush toilets or running water. There is a large tank of water you can use for your dishes, and an out house toilet. The kitchen facilities are clean and well maintained, and the rooms are small with small bunks, but more than enough for a robust traveler. The location is AMAZING, just meters away from the Maligne Canyon, which is a must-see. Nights are dark and quiet, and there is always lots of wildlife nearby.
For the price, about 20 a night, this place gets a 5. With a beautiful little creek on the property and right across the road from the hiking trail, it's unbeatable. My friends and I arrived in early spring as the ice on the creek was melting. The full moon illuminated the little copse where the creek gugled and induced a feeling of great inner peace.
For a wild cabin in the national parc, it’s the best you will find. The dorms are heated. The kitchen is well organized. The bathrooms are not fancy. You are not allowed to eat outside since it attracts the wild life.
The hostel gives a really misleading description. There are no locks on the doors, no lockers for your items, the toilet is out of the cabin and in an out house. There is no number or email to contact the employees. It doesn't feel safe at all so I just left and booked a hotel in town. They have had 4 recent bear sightings so I wouldn't feel safe going to the toilet in the night or even sleeping in the cabin because it's unlocked. There is also no wifi.
Again, remember this is a wilderness hostel, so they won't have shower. This one does have some electricity. No WIFI as expected. Drinking water does require manual outdoor storage. Staffs are very friendly.
It’s off the beaten path, but keep driving towards Maligne canyon and you’ll get to it eventually! The views are beautiful and you can’t beat the price if you’re looking for an overnight stay, or if back to basics is your thing. There’s a fridge, sink, microwave, stove, and dishes. Common room is super cozy with 2 large tables for family dinners and a book exchange shelf with board games. No wifi or running water but the beds are warm and the staff is friendly!
Booked this place for one night and received a confirmation that 1) bookings could be cancelled 48 hours in advance and 2) check in from 5 - 9 pm. I called over 48 hours in advance to ask what the late check in policy was since it was not mentioned, and most places at least mention something about late check ins. Nobody answered, so I left a very detailed message with my question and how to reach me back. Nobody called me back despite having ample time, so I emailed to ask my question, but now it was within the 48 hours. I was told the manager left at 9 pm and there was no way I could check in after 9 pm. Had somebody answered the phone, or at least tried calling me back within the cancellation window and provided this information, I would have immediately cancelled since there was no way I could get there prior to 9 pm. I was then told that I would not be eligible for a refund since I was cancelling within 48 hours of my reservation, despite the fact that I tried inquiring within the cancellation window and did not receive any response Absolutely horrible customer service, these people did nothing to help me.
