We were able to schedule an inspection at short notice without any issue. The admin arranged everything very efficiently. Our inspector Sheldon was on time, very thorough and was up front and transparent about what he was doing. Very knowledgeable and professional. Would hire these guys again, the whole process was very easy which made the house-buying process a little easier.
We purchased new construction and decided it was still a good idea to complete a home inspection. They did they find a few minor issues that were easy to resolve once identified, and would likely have caused us frustration to try to figure out in our own after we had moved in. In addition they provided us with a large textbook about home maintenance, and gave us advice on things to monitor and the frequency of maintenance needed. Ie monitor bathroom caulking every 6 months, likely recaulk every 2-3 years. They were professional, efficient, priced for good value compared to other companies, and were able to accommodate our very short timeline. We were left feeling confident in our purchase and with a plan to ensure our home would stay in good condition and repair over the many years we intend to enjoy it!
We could not have wished for a better service! The inspector made himself available on a very short notice (a huge value add in this economy)! He was extremely thorough and went above and beyond to make sure we knew everything there was to know about the required maintenance and upkeep for the house we were considering. He provided us with his unbiased opinion in a way that even without technical background in construction I could easily understand. We’ll definitely use James Dobney Inspections services again!
We used James Dobney Inspections at the recommendation of a contractor who had great experiences with then in the past. We had Jon complete our inspection. Although our place is only one year old without many issues, Jon was very thorough and provided us with a comprehensive review which was easy to understand and provided various suggestions for us going forward. Would highly recommend thos company if you need any inspection!
