We recently purchased Jakeman's Maple Syrup that was sold in a white 1 litre jug at Loblaw's on Robertson Road in Ottawa. We had never seen it before and being lovers of all things maple, we decided to give it a try. We were extremely disappointed. There was very little maple taste. Just barely a hint of maple flavouring. It was mostly just a sweet sugary taste. The jug mentions that the syrup is sourced from over 200 local maple sugar farms. Perhaps this jug came from a bad batch. Perhaps the process of blending syrup from so many farms alters the taste. Nonetheless, we were not happy with the syrup and will not buy it again.

Great breakfast at jakemans, good fundraiser for 4H. Be careful though, road and parking lot is icy.
Awesome selection of maple products, I got coffee, teas candies etc today. Love it!!
Great experience, awesome syrup!
Love that they support local groups and have 4H and cloverbud members serving on weekends through March and into April!
