Awesome ramen and great attention to little things that made a big difference! 100% would recommend

We both ordered the God Fire Broth: 6 - Split Opinion! Yaseen thought it was a bit too watery and didn’t have enough body. This was my first time having a chicken based ramen and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was expecting it to be much less flavourful than a pork base but it delivered on flavour with just the right level of saltiness. Noodles: 7.5 - We really enjoyed that you could pick your own noodle texture. Yaseen picked normal and I picked hard since I like a bit of chew. The noodles definitely did the job but we both prefer a thicker noodle. Toppings: 7.7 - The chicken was unreal. So tender, so flavourful and perfectly cooked. Also included was wood ear mushroom, seaweed and green onion. Value: 8 - They did not skimp on the chicken; they gave us 3 plump pieces. Was fully satisfied (aka super full) for 15 (plus tax & tip). Overall: 7.3 - Surprisingly, our favourite thing was the gyoza. Perfectly cooked (pan fried on the bottom and steamed on the top) and full of chicken flavour! We’d happily come back just to have the gyoza again! I even got an order to go ️
Just as good as its pork sister location!! I love how perfectly cooked the chicken slices are. The broth is sooo rich with a complex flavor profile. It's not too salty either, like many other ramen places tend to be. This is one of the few places where I can slurp the bowl clean. I've been to both Ikkousha locations for more than a combined total of 10 times now. I recommend it to all my friends - even my Japanese friends comment on how authentic and delicious the taste is.
The ramen at this place is INSANE! So many chicken options which is why I went since I don’t eat pork. I’ll definitely be back !
I am praying and hoping this place survives the latest Covid Lockdown. This is my favorite Ramen place in all of Toronto, not just because of the perfect cook on the eggs (they do soft-boiled amazingly) and the thick hefty slices of meat (Chicken obviously, but down the street they have a Pork Ramen spot too!), but because they can actually do a fire broth. There's different flame levels, and alot of restauraunts claim to have hot sauce or fire sauce, but if you go for 3, 4 or 5 flames you'll definitely have a mouth full of fire. The way they cook the chicken is so cool, in massive pots, but if you want more than chicken ramen there's chicken dumplings too which are amazing! Whatever your preference they will have a ramen or app to satisfy your hunger.
Really awesome people came from tiktok ️
They had their soft opening on 2020-02-22. They also own Ikkousha Ramen 2 doors east which opened more than a year ago. At this soft opening, they gave out 50 free ramen and then 50% off ramen the rest of the day. There are 4 different types of ramen offered along with appetizers/sides. There are 4 levels of spiciness. You can add extra Spicy Tanaka if you wish. We ordered the Tori Pitan Ramen (chicken white soup), Tori Chintain Ramen (chicken clear soup), and Tori Black Ramen (15) x 2. You can choose the hardness of your noodles. For 2 of them, we added Premium Toppings (5). We liked the Tori Black and the Tori Chintain. The chicken charsu (first time I've ever had it) was moist and tender. The soft boiled egg was not sliced in half (as shown in their advertising) but they were willing to give us a knife and a little bowl to cut it ourselves. There are extra garnishes at each table. I recommend the sesame seeds (it comes in a grinder). They have a loyalty card. At 3, 5, and 10, you get certain free toppings. They have free WiFi. They have separate male/female washrooms. They have 2 hairchairs. There is a step at the entrance so it is hard for a wheelchair to enter. Washroom is in the basement so not wheelchair accessible.
Amazing ramen! Best chicken ramen in Canada. Very rich broth and tasty homemade noodles. Excellent. You must try! Also Ikkousha pork is good too.
