I called this company out of the blue, in urgent need of house insurance for a house we were purchasing the next day. They were incredible. Despite the tight deadline, and despite the unique characteristics of the house that took it out of typical insurance offerings, they were able to secure insurance for me. I can specifically mention Sharmila, who kept me informed during the entire process, and was so incredibly on top of it that I felt confident almost immediately that she would be able to secure the product for me. I'd never dealt with Huronia before, but I will be sure to in the future. Thanks so much!

I was quoted for commercial auto insurance and received a price of 1700 from Huronia, a price good enough to have me leave my previous provider. I was provided a temporary insurance certificate. Three weeks later I was told the price was actually 3300--when I pointed out that my one-man, one-pickup truck business was being classified alongside garbage trucks and steel scrap-hauler operations the response I got was \we can just cancel the policy\, which was not an option considering my truck is out on the road every day serving customers. I searched for a different provider and found a quote at Cooperators for 2300, a reasonable price for a small delivery company. When I did finally get my refund it was over a month from when I cancelled the policy. Very dirty pool quoting something that has not been verified first by the underwriter and then provide your customer with an over-inflated, unnecessary policy for almost twice the price. If all of your agents are that inaccurate when providing price quotes then I would encourage people to look elsewhere, or at least don't cancel your previous policy until the signed and sealed quote comes back from the underwriter.
