What a phenomenal station. They give back to the community and they feature local artists. My favorite station.

I dropped in on my birthday, to give myself the extra treat of the day. The sign at the door invites you just to come in. When you do, you stand right in the middle of the studio! To the left stands a couch, to the right is the stage, a bid bigger than a king size bed, and straight ahead, is beautiful solid wood bar, serving as the moderator's desk. The \on air\ light was off, but the moderator's (Grant) mood seemed to be apprehensive. After some conversational struggle, he lightened up a bit, but not enough to make me feel really welcome, even though he did say that everyone was welcome (maybe just not me?) So, I left again, feeling more discouraged than encouraged. The music of this station is very eclectic and should offer something for everyone, sooner or later. They play lots of tunes, you usually don't really hear anywhere else. They do promote local talents, which is on of my personal favorite thing to listen to. Sooner or later, everyone is bound to find her/ his favorite show. The app for Hunter's Bay really sucks, as it keeps on crashing on every phone I ever had, but I still use it every day. You can tell, it's still a young station, where people still have a lot to learn, from how to work a microphone to how to do a good interview, but they make plenty up for it with new and fresh ideas for their programming. I am glad they are around and see a lot of future potential for them. A very good alternative to all the other single genre stations.
