Harbourfront Canoe and Kayak Centre, efficient friendly. IF paddling in harbour is not your cup of tea cross to Islands and miles of quiet waterways

Make sure to book early. Really great experience. Would recommend the 1hour VS. 2hour if you are only really trying to see the city skyline.

First time here, I took their beginner kayaking lessons with Cheryl. It was great, informative, fun, a really good way to spend a Saturday. After that, I took their next course up, and also joined on several social paddles until the season ended. I highly recommend all of it, they're really passionate about paddling and know what they're doing here.

Tried the tandem kayak tour. Pro: They had a great promotion price. Pro: Instructor and assistant was helpful to teach me how to kayak, I have kayaked before but never on kayak with a "tail". Pro: Location is well located (easy accessible). Pro: Great option because the city is beautiful, and the time is close to sunset which is great too! Con: Maybe the tour guide was having a bad day but I barely remember him providing any information about what we were looking at in center island. Con: We rushed randomly throughout the trip (in the beginning) but then we had lots of time in the island. But then coming back we had to rush again. I wish it was more leisurely (longer 30 mins more maybe?) or the tour guide had better planned it so we didn't have to randomly rush (make it more consistent pace throughout). I talked to my friends as well and they said they felt the same where they weren't able to enjoy the surroundings as much because we were rushed to reach the island or come back to Toronto.

We had a wonderful Tandem kayak tour today with tour guide Jimmy! He took us on for a beautiful trip. Half way through there were a few thunderstorms sounds coming from far away, Jimmy was very quick-decision making and ask us to come up to the dock to secure our safety from the lightening. We are very grateful that Jimmy put our safety at first! All the best to all the staff at Harbour-front Canoe & Kayak Center!

This was a nice way to spend the evening, views were beautiful and the kayak was fun. I did a tandem, and the route behind the leader was actually somewhat of a workout, for beginners that barely knew what they were doing. There are no stops anywhere so make sure you've gone to the bathroom lol. Afterwards there are burgers and veggie burgers BBQ available, but we decided to out for dinner. On our way back from the tour we got a little stuck in terms of turning back onto the dock and one of the guides was blatantly angry/yelling at us, but besides that experience everything else and everyone else was nice.

Quiet organized place to rent Kayak or canoe from. Safety aware staff. And reasonable price. And the lake is so awesome to paddle in.
