Love this place! We have been many times before lockdown, to both the Ottawa and James street location and every experience has been amazing. Great food, atmosphere and friendly staff. Ordered take out last night, which was also amazing. The Omar pizza is to die for!

The place is really clean and sharp looking. The menu is online only so you need to go to their website and search for it. Most restaurants that use online menus normally have a QR code to scan which is much quicker and easier. They have a menu called brunch and one called lunch. They were different and there was a wide selection of offerings. The service was friendly and quick. The server got the order totally wrong and brought what I ordered which was Porchetta Benny with home fries but she brought a second one with salad on the side instead. My daughter ordered pancetta and mushroom omelette. She knew as soon as she brought it out that she made the error and gave the mistake meal to her while they made the correct dish. It was difficult to hear what she said as she was wearing a mask and the sounds bounced around inside this place. People were speaking very loudly on top of it so it made for difficult conversation with the servers. I would return to try a supper there or gluten free pizza options. I loved the porchetta Benny. It was delicious.
Caro offers a great dining experience. The patio is great. We have hand take out from them and the quality of the food is excellent.
An over all amazing experience! The service was excellent - friendly and quick. The food quality and presentation was amazing and artful, you can really see the pride the kitchen staff takes in their work. The flavours were amazing, simple and classic yet very unique, with very generous portion sizing. Caprese salad was artfully prepared, with classic flavours done elegantly. Polenta fries were crispy and served with an array of sauces to keep your palette on its toes. Pizza was crisp, not over done. Perfectly sauced and topped with unique but cohesive ingredients. Chicken parm was classic but modern, crispy, with a lovely aromatic sauce. Canollis were fresh, a crispy shell with beautiful very lightly sweetened filling. Tirramisu was light and loaded with flavour. The price point to quality is an extremely great deal! 3 courses for 2 people under 100 with tax and tip! Lovely, modern, cozy.
I really want to like this restaurant. I really do, I have now tried 3 times since they opened and always leave semi satisfied. The room is lovely and clean, service is better than average at best and the food always looks great. However I am always semi satisfied, whether it's a lack of seasoning, a seemingly random missing ingredient or just mediocre flavors. I eat and support local so it hurts to write an average at best review but I just feel like for the price a little extra consideration for perfection should be present. It can always get better.
