My customer service experience with the opticians at this location has been unnecessarily stressful and unkind. I feel bad for the optometrist at this location as my experience with her was nothing but informative and kind. It is unfortunate her reputation is tied up with the opticians at this location. The opticians at this location refuse to provide the customer with their PD (pupillary distance) information unless they commit to purchasing glasses from their location. Whether or not this is common practice, I expected to at least be given a legitimate basis for this refusal. Instead, I was handed off by the optician on staff that day to a John Butler. The optician also warned me that Mr. Butler is on the board for their licensing body as a means to get me to stop asking questions. Today, after emailing Mr. Butler, my contact fitting appointment was abruptly rescheduled within hours of when it was supposed to happen. I was given deeply personal information about the person I was meant to meet with to justify the rescheduling. Divulging such personal information to a customer was incredibly unprofessional. After the rescheduling, John Butler responded to my request to substantiate the refusal of service I experienced by refusing to answer my questions. Refusing to issue PD information is a gatekeeping and accessibility issue so I am deeply disappointed to know that opticians in this province have no interest in substantiating this choice that very seriously limits customers from making their own decisions around risk and budget. ETA: Now, I will be forced to reach out to their governing body to seek an answer to a question these opticians should be able to answer themselves. So not only do they offload risk onto the customer by forcing them to measure their own PD in a less accurate way if they want options, they put the customer in the position of having to seek out knowledge that the opticians themselves should easily be able to provide.

Always friendly and approachable. I had Justin help me pick out my glasses and he was awesome. He took the time to help me find the right ones for me, and really made me feel good about my decision. I would recommend that if you are looking for an optometrist, definitely go to Butler's you won't regret it.

She showed me all kinds of different options, helped me find a pair that looked good and fit well, then finally went over all the pricing and payment options. Complete service from top to bottom. I was very happy with the whole experience. I definitely recommend Butler to anyone in the market for a new pair of glasses!
Excellent service! Galen Butler was really prestative, and the contact lenses sitting process was the best I have ever seen. It helped me choose the best lenses for my eyes, which were actually the cheapest ones. I cannot recommend enough this place.
I love these guys. I have purchased 2 pairs of glasses from them. I have to wear progressive lenses now and they have a very narrow corridor of vision so upon a lot of research I chose varilux x series which are one of the best on the market but not many people carry them. Butler has them and many other brands and know them very well. I wasn't interested in discount glasses, I wanted the best, and a satisfaction warranty to stand behind them. I am a birder and hobby photographer so my eyesight is very important to me and I need to trust my opticians to help me make the best choice for my vision. Well isn't eyesight important to all of us? Very happy with Justin and the rest of the opticians there.
Purchased a gorgeous pair of designer sunglasses frames with the highest quality lenses you can buy - and it was so worth it. Their pricing is extremely competitive as a family owned business (opposed to a chain) and they treat you like you’re family, too. So happy I converted here from the chains. The warranty they carry is wonderful as well. I will absolutely be continuing here as a lifetime customer.
I have been purchasing my glasses from butlers for a number of years. I am always greeted with friendly customer service! I have trouble picking out frames, I’m usually limited to sizes. The staff is always so patient & ready to help me find the best pair for me!
Customer Service is incredible. This place is completely out of my way but I remain a client because of the above and beyond customer service. Galen is absolutely delightful!
