Used to buy a newspaper almost every day in the store . Would browse through some magazines & buy a magazine once a month. That was when the original owner ran the store . Bought a chocolate bar in the store & walking down the St. I decided to open it . It was moldy & just disgusting looking. Checked before date & it was 3 years old . Haven't been back since.

Cool spot, unfortunately the only one of its kind in Halifax. They might not have everything, but they'll do whatever they can to help you get it. Nice smell of paper in there too.
Great service, a nice selection of local work, magazines, newspapers and books. Could spend a long time shopping for gifts and browsing in this store.
This store is wonderful, with a wide range of magazines and English Candy. The owner and staff are very friendly, and always willing to help.
This is a CLASS establishment!!! It;s been around for a looooong time, and deservedly so. You can find periodicals and magazines there which just can't be found anywhere else in the province. Staff is VERY knowledgeable and helpful, and you can even read and have a cup of joe there. WELL worth going out of your way to visit, believe me!!
