We rented from this company last year and had a great time and we were told we could rent the same place again. Once 2021 came around, we were told the owners were considering whether or not they would be renting it out again. We waited and waited for an answer. We checked again and were told the same thing. After over a month, they responded back and told us that the owners were not allowing us to rent the cottage again because we had damaged it, not cleaned, etc. We had no idea what they were talking about.... a family member reached out to the actual owner and we found out the company had screwed up because we were not the party who had caused any damage - in fact when we arrived the propane was empty and we paid to fill up both tanks despite the fact it was supposed to be provided to us and we did not complain, or receive and compensation for that. We were also just told the cottage is entirely booked for the year and now the company won’t even answer us or help us rebook something else despite the fact they ruined our chance of getting the rental again. I expect answers, an apology and some actual professionalism from your company. Reach out ASAP and fix this NOW! Take some actual responsibility and stop avoiding the problem you have created. If I could give -5 stars I would.

We have been renting cottages at about the 4000/wk. price point for about 12 years now. This is the first time a cottage (Pioneer Point) has not met our expectations or was as advertised. The biggest issue was that the main fridge in the kitchen was broken and we did not find this out until we arrived and saw the note on it. The owner left a mini fridge in addition to an old pantry fridge. It was completely insufficient for 5 adults and a teenager, was not convenient to get supplies and not cold enough for all the food meant for two standard fridges. The mini bar fridge stayed cool, not cold. The pantry fridge couldn't keep all of our food cold enough. On the website pictures, there are two docks side by side, with one dock holding the loungers and the other holding an outdoor table, chairs and umbrella. The table and chairs had been put in the woods and the dock. that held them had been removed. There was also no floating dock as advertised (prominently) in the pictures. We had been looking forward to eating on the dock as there is no outdoor seating by the cottage except for an old picnic table. The pictures below show what is on the site and what is actually there (the two lone chairs being all that is there now). We contacted the company on the Monday and received no response. We contacted them again at the end of our stay and again, received no response. We also tried posting a review on the website and it was never posted. I guess only positive reviews get posted. This is our third year renting from this company, and sadly, our last, in large part due to their unresponsiveness to our concerns and not having the courtesy to get back to us at the beginning of our stay or at all. While there were some plusses (the indoor dining area was nice), these were overshadowed by the fridge being broken (and town being a 40 minute round trip) and the outdoor area not being as advertised, in addition to a few other minor things.
Great family vacation escape! Scenic Haliburton lake. What-a-view! Absolutely stunning cottage! Views of the lake were superb... However, the drive to get to the cottage was less than desirable. We did eventually make it, and made the most of everything this rental had to offer. Even sledding out back. The price was on the high end, but you definitely get what you pay for. We felt like VIP guests, our entire stay. So much fun.
I have been pleasantly surprised by some businesses over the years, but none as much as All-Season Cottage Rentals, J.T., in particular. We booked a cottage for this summer back in February. Unfortunately, in recent weeks, my wife passed away. When I inquired about cancelling the booking, J.T. responded immediately with condolences and an assurance of a refund of my deposit, (which was unexpected and unasked for)which was done. It was vastly reassuring that in the darkest time of my life that virtual strangers would treat me like a family member. It was greatly appreciated.
I've rented cottages from this company now for almost ten years, usually at least one in the summer and one in the fall. I've brought friends, young kids and elderly parents and everyone's had an incredible time. They have a huge selection of cottages at all price ranges and sizes. The properties and lakes are beautiful and the staff at All Seasons is super personable and always there to help - from helping choose a cottage to dealing with any problems that may arise. When a sump pump had an issue one evening they were there within 2 hours and didn't leave till everything was fixed. I find the website and search options ideal and the options amazing. I couldn't recommend them more and I've sent many friends their way. There's two cottages there that we've gone to so many times that they feel a little like ours. I couldn't be more grateful.
