I've always been a fan of Guu and was excited to try this one as they incorporate garlic in every dish. I came during their dinner service and found it wasn't too busy. They also have a small section where you can have a more traditional experience of sitting on the floor while you eat. The service was quick and friendly. Like their other locations they have daily specials and their own drinks (beer/wine) to enjoy so your experience won't be boring. We ordered a number of dishes to share, my favourites were the beef tongue as it was perfectly cooked and the eel rice. The best part was letting the rice cook a little longer after they brought the dish so you can get that nice crispy bottom. I'd definitely come back again and try out their other dishes!

Great friendly service, food, and Covid-safe protocols. Thank you for a lovely New Year's Day dinner. The Grilled Mackerel and Garlic Soy Eggplant were especially yummy!

Delicious japanese food! Loved the seafood. My favourite was the garlic noodles as well as the pizza with muscles. Loved our time here.

One of the oldest japanese izakaya chain restaurants on Robson. Daily special menu to keep the client fresh along with the regular menu for the usual and typical food or drinks Majority of the signature items are cook with garlic hence the \Guu with garlic\ Best to enjoy your time herewith beer for some relaxing time. Advise to have reservation ahead of time else you may be in for a lengthy wait, last I went there was cancelation for the reservation so we got seats right away
