I recently switched to Southgate Animal Hospital and couldn't be happier. Although we were unable to go in to the clinic for first visit due to COVID restrictions, Dr. Forbes met us outside and introduced herself. She was knowledgeable and professional, and my dogs loved her! The exam was quick and reasonably priced. Dr. Forbes followed up with us to provide some extra advice about helping one of our dogs gain some weight. I highly recommend Southgate Animal Hospital to anyone searching for a new vet clinic.

Wonderful people are working there! Dr Shanna is doing a fantastic job and it is always a pleasure to have her around. Mary, our dog, is getting everything she needs and that for a very reasonable price. So, it is for us totally worth it to travel from Mississauga to Guelph. Keep up the good work! Thanks
Dr Shanna is the most caring and knowledgeable vet we have ever known. She clearly loves animals and did not become a vet for the money, rather for her love for animals. She took our beloved Cooper into her care, when he was dying of cancer and looked after him as if he was her own dog. Her honesty, compassion and sensitivity will always be remembered. Our only regret is that we did not take Cooper sooner to Southgate, because had we, our beloved Cooper would still be alive. Friendly and professional. My first appointment with them and they seem very honest and compassionate towards my pup. You can tell they care about your pets and they love their job compared to other vets.
I have been taking my dog to Barb for years and now I am taking my new puppy. She has always been so knowledgeable and supportive with big and small decisions. I recently had a minor emergency with my puppy ingesting something he shouldn’t and they fit me in right away! Always a pleasure and I look forward to many years to come.
