I struggled with an ingrown toenail for over 2 years and called in for emergency appointments every couple of months. Knowing it was just a matter of time before it erupted was anxiety producing. I finally agreed and trusted Alex to do the surgery to remove the root of the beast. I had heard stories about post operative pain and it took me 2 years to convince myself to have it done. Hours after the freezing came out the only thing I could feel was where the needle with the freezing had gone in. I took some pain medication in advance to manage the pain. However, there was no pain. If Alex had not shown me The Claw after it was removed (very satisfying) I would not have believed any surgery had happened. Alex had to have (and later agreed she had) been very gentle in the removal. There was no tugging, tearing or pulling which i think made all the difference. I know every case is different but I hope this story helps to encourage others to do the surgery. It is so good to know it is gone forever.
