Twice bought tilapia fish which appeared fresh but alas it was rotten. Today I bought a good looking cat fish, getting home, I wouldn't bear the foul smell.Completely rotten. They use preservatives to hoodwink customers. Had to bin everything. Authorities intervene.

I usually trust and like this unique Asian Supermarket much more than my experience this time. I will state why I was disappointed this time. Since I am very thorough reviewer I will still talk about the positive aspects. It has a large variety of Asian and international fruits and vegetables, fresh and frozen fish, and ready foods. I love their spring rolls frozen and ready, 1 kilo for under 5. And their shrimp too, both breaded and not breaded. The fish and meat dept have fresh and frozen varieties. The fresh fish can be cleaned for you, they add 1 to the price of fish on average. Usually the fish gets cleaned washed, and packed beautifully and is worth every penny. BUT NOT this last visit... My fish was not cleaned well enough, not cut right at the guts, not flushed and washed well, and had unclear water in the bag by the time I got home. I had to clean the fish myself even though I paid for it. When I made a complaint later, I was told I should have made the complaint within 24 hours... Same thing applies for bad fruits, which applied to the bad "seedless" watermelon that was total garbage. The watermelon had seeds as you will see in the pics, and was so bad that part of melon was totally liquified. Again I did not make the call within 24 hours, all I got is reminder of the rules and sorry about the bad melon. For the fish, I was told we will remind the fish guy to do a better job. Total disappointment from a place I always trusted. I was slapped with the rules in my face. I know this will make me think twice before I get certain things. Pots and pans, teas and so many Asian groceries can be found here. So many beautiful unique items are found here. It is worth visiting still, but watch out for certain items.
This is a Chinese supermarket. We stopped in here to pick up a package of dried coconut milk for a recipe. If you like cooking Oriental food this is a good place to shop. It is busy with narrow aisles and a variety of products that you won't find in a regular supermarket. Note you will have to pay cash for anything less than 20. Big parking lot that is free.
This is a bit of a hidden treasure in Ottawa. The variety of foods that can be found here is impressive. Especially since the foods are fresh. It's not a gigantic supermarket but it is well organized and very clean. You'll find things here that you will not be able to find in other supermarkets. It is definitely worth the adventure to get there. You can explore new dishes to make and come up with new ideas.
Dated supermarket for Asian goods. Good place for accessible international foods, however it is poorly organized and poorly maintained. Good when inna pinch, but you may be better off heading to china town.
Green Fresh Asian Supermarket is the BEST place to buy seafood, fruits, vegetables and so much more! I had been looking for Crawfish for sooo long. I FINALLY found them here!! This was my 3rd time shopping there. So many “specialty” meats that I wanted to buy everything lol!! This supermarket is one of the cleanest I have ever shopped in hands down!!! Their prices (in my opinion) are outstanding!! The Employees are so nice and helpful, and they didn’t mind explaining what something was if I didn’t know. Do I recommend this lovely gem of a Supermarket.....HELL YES!!!! Stay Safe!️
I would give 0 star if I could. They don’t even sanitize at casher. I see four customer in front of me went through and the cashier didn’t sanitize at all!!! It freaks me out. Since it’s under such critical time and they don’t even follow the instruction. Please, owner train your employees properly. And the staffs are just so rude, their plastic bags are very bad quality wise. I never made it to my door. And the staff blame on me, she said I push too much stuff in one bag and that’s not true, the bag was not even full!!!! Conclusion is, bye Green Fresh, I rather pay 10 more at T&T to keep my family safe and get good service!!!
Really great selection of things I wouldn't have tried otherwise. All of their produce is super fresh every time we go!!
