My mom got some abalone from a Chinese store that sells great lake seafood trading products. We were very disappointed as it clearly smelled like bleach after cooking. Once it's cut in half you can smelled the meat was completely blanched as if it's soaked in bleach. We threw it all away. They were selling it for 10.99 for each frozen pack. Don't even know if it's safe to eat. Can't trust their products anymore.
