Service, people, lay outs and the homes were amazing. Went to do the financing through ATB and they made it so difficult, forgot about us, etc, that we had to go back a few months later. When we went to them again we specifically said DO NOT send us through ATB, they have other banks they deal with. Later that night guess who called us. We dropped them and bought a place through a private deal, and had no problem getting our loan approved through RBC in one business day.

The worst dealer I’ve ever delt with. They advertise X amount of service units for warranty claims but we’ve had our place for 8 months and still not every thing is repaired. They will not take account for mistakes made and only do patch repairs and are a fight the entire way. For example our tub was not connected to the toilet and dumped into the belly of the house and it took weeks of arguing for them to repair it properly. They also tow your home down gravel roads outside of there manufacturing facility leading to soffits filled with mud, chipped and broken windows along with broken siding and to top it all off it is your responsibility to clean the brand new house. We have also found holes in the walls that plaster was used as filler to hide the damage and a silicon job that had us scrapping silicon off every kitchen fixture. Also lied to about appliances. This is the worst experience ive ever had with a dealer and strongly recommend another company or a different route as it has been a battle to get the most trivial things repaired and complete(6months just to get plywood strapping off the roof). The last two pictures is the pantry with the studs all pulled out or not cut to length. This is a small snapshot of the issues we had and our list is very long. Strongly recommend another dealer.
While shopping for a home Jandel's salesperson was fantastic. He worked hard and answered all my questions thoroughly. My goal posts shifted due to the pandemic but my experience was top notch.
I bought my first home from Jandel Homes and have nothing but good things to say. Dan was always available to answers my texts, calls, and emails about any questions I had with the home. I never went more than 15 minutes without a response, completely over the top service. When he was on holidays, Courtney filled in seamlessly and nothing missed a beat. Phillip, who came to inspect the home once delivered, does his job extremely well - he was quick, friendly, eager to help, and very knowledgeable. Most importantly the home is gorgeous and I love it ! Highly recommend.
My hubby and I just purchased a Jandel home in the winter of 2018. Janel in the sales department was amazing to deal with and very accommodating to us. We don’t consider ourselves “high maintenance” people yet we are pretty particular and there were many times we made Janel work hard for us answering a million questions that we had!! We received our house in November 2018 and overall we are happy with our home. If we had a main complaint with Jandel, it would be that the finishing touches on the home could use more attention to detail. Knicks and scratches, poor grout work in the tiles, window and baseboard trim with excessive nailing (we counted 17 nail holes in about a one foot piece of trim in one of the bedrooms!)...just plain sloppy finishing at times. We feel that the “bones” of the house are good (or we hope!). All that being said, we feel a main compliment to Jandel would be that any issues we have had so far (and we continue to notice more things) they have dealt with all of them in a courteous and efficient manner which we appreciate greatly. If we could have afforded a stick built home then honestly we would have gone that route but if you are on a budget, which we were, I think Jandel makes a great option to purchase a home from. With some post-custom touches like putting up some pine feature walls, our house is becoming more a home and we are falling in love more every day. Thank you Jandel for the option to purchase affordable homes these days when everything is SO expensive!! Please just get those boys on the assembly line caring a bit more about their work ;) PS - I love my kitchen however I sure would have loved the option to have real wood cabinets!
Anyone considering a Jandel modular as their new home, take your money elsewhere. You will be much happier in the long run. Extremely disappointed in the house that I purchased. Not at all worth the money that was paid for it. I truly believe that Jandel builds their homes just for looks and not regular day to day use.
I've been to all the modular home sales locations in Grande Prairie, and Jandel homes is a league of its own. We dealt with Janel and she was friendly, very knowledgeable and patient without being pushy. The office was clean and the other employees also had outstanding customer service. The amount of show homes on location is also a huge plus as I'm not really a blueprint and choose kind of person so going in and seeing options and actual sizes and visuals was great! Well done!
