A very kind and caring community church with a completely different “flavor” at each of their 3 locations (Highland Park, Mission heights, and Eastside). But the common thread that binds them all together is their rich and in-depth theological approach to the Bible. They carefully explain every passage in their sermons with intelligence and wisdom. Nothing superficial about any of their sermons. No “Oprah”-style “self-help”. Their pastors are committed to going deep into the Bible and carefully teaching people the word of God. It’s so refreshing and challenging. Each week you feel like you’ve not only been blessed by the word of God, but received a quality education in theology. This church helped me undo years of bad theology and find the GRACE of the gospel. The love of God. The buildings themselves might not be fancy or have the same “bells and whistles” that some of the other churches in town have, but you WILL receive quality biblical instruction and find belonging in a Godly community.
A great casual-atmosphere church with thoughtful scripture-intensive sermons. The buildings are a bit outdated, but the kindness of the people make it so you hardly notice those unimportant details.
I've been going to this church for 21 years. It has a casual atmosphere the building is older and needs some updating (we upgrade as we go) but the important thing is we have incredible teaching and I think we are very friendly. We have 3 sites the newset being Eastside church of Christ. My husband Jason is the site pastor their (we are a missional community). Come check out any of our churches we'd love to meet you
