I called yesterday. Had a 1030 appointment today with Mark. Go to store..... Oh Marks not in. Then the rude guy who tells me he isnt here proceeds to help the next person. Great system you guys have here.
Ordered rebar as per Paul's calculations and paid in full and in advance. There was alot of rebar left over, and they (grand river/ allstar steel), came to retrieve the over delivered product. The product quantity was counted by 2 of their employees and myself, and the quantities were confirmed by the 2 employees and myself. No refund was given until many phone calls and as being ignored by Paul, Tracy, and Florin, until finally a partial refund was given 4 months after many attempts to obtain a full refund. BUT the refund is less than half the amount owning. And again contacted grand river ( tracy, paul, florin) multiple times to correct the situation, and they \ keep passing the buck around\. It is now 9 months since this occurred, and they do NOT want to refund the balance of the return that is outstanding. We are just asking for the balance of the return that is outstanding. If we knew that they would not refund the return, we would have kept the material since we paid for it in full. If anyone decides to purchase products from Grand river or from any of its divisions (all star steel), beware of their return policies and questionable shady business practices.
I've been there a couple of times now for flagstone, rocks and skipping stones. The staff was friendly and helpful, both at the main counter and the yard. I was really happy with my purchases and the price I paid for them.
John & I were very pleased with the service we received from a sales associate, Rose. We wanted to cover an area 12x20 under our deck. She suggested 2 different types of stones that we could use and how much we would need. When the stones were delivered we were sure that we would need more. However, Rose’s calculations were spot on!! Thanks again, Patrice Watts
