This place has consistently been the best shoe purchasing experience ever. We had the opportunity to be fitted by Gord, and he looked at our current shoes and helped is find the perfect fit for a new pair. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best at getting the perfect shoes on your feet.

Went back today for my 2nd pair and was fortunate enough to be helped by Gord again. I can’t believe he remembered my name despite having only been there once. EXCELLENT AND FRIENDLY service like our first time. You can really feel that he cares about his customers and makes sure you go home with the perfect pair. Once we’re ready to add trail running into our regimen, I can’t imagine getting our pair other than Gord’s. Anyone new to the hobby should definitely get their first pair here! 5 STARS!

I don't know what's else can be said that hasn't been said before. This is the place to go to buy running shoes. They do a great job at finding the right shoe for you. They take the time to.look at how you walk, how the shoe fits etc.

Legendary store. Staff are amazing and so knowledgeable. I purchased some Trail crampons a couple of years ago and today they broke. I went in and bought some more and at the same time Nigel behind the desk repaired mine on the spot which was just amazing and unexpected so thank you so much. This is what I call truly personal service from people who care about their customers and how very refreshing!

Excellent service and knowledge at this long time staple for runners of all levels. Excellent selection of widths. I have a hard to find, 9AA width, and was shown several options along with a style of runner that I initially went there for. I ended up trying a new style thanks to the suggestion of Sebastian, which is working out great! Really nice selection of women and men's running gear and clothing too that can also be used for other sports. This is an excellent small business to support!

I have stopped by this store on occasion and found it to be the only shoe store in the entire demographical area around Calgary that actually performs a physical check of your size, physical build, stance, walking gait and intended use BEFORE pursuing a pair of shoes that align properly to all the above mentioned criterion. Gord is a seasoned veteran who very clearly demonstrates his pride of ownership of his business in it's entirety. Customer service is his number one goal, and judging by all the happy folks I saw in his store with their new pair of quality shoes on their feet, he is accomplishing a touchdown time and time again. After dealing with the other sports / shoe stores over the last 3 decades in this city, I won't hesitate to return to Gord's Running Store, get the job done effectively and efficiently the first time and leave with a premium quality product with a smile on my face. Highly recommend! 5 stars plus!
