Good place for family outing. Water is very clean but the beach is mostly filled with gravels and less sand. There are washrooms/changing rooms. Eateries are there too. Lot of parking available by the beach side. Since they are restricting number of people at a time on the beach hence you might need to wait or an hour or two to go to the beach. There are many parks in and around where you can wait and have picnic or just sit on those benches and enjoy the view of Lake Huron from above.

Very cold, but so pretty, frozen lake
Goderich is a lovely town and they have done a great job with their waterfront in these unprecedented times of high water in Lake Huron. Nice boardwalk, a couple of eating stops, and what looks like a lot of parking (but mid November, when we were there, I'd not a good indication of mid July crowds!)
Small and beautiful beach. Not a sandy beach. Parking is free and limited space. The city is gorgeous though. Picturesque views. Just wanna live here forever.
Always have been a big fan of Goderich for its sunsets, hills and trails. Beach is great but also very rocky both out of the water and inside the water. The water also gets deep very fast so be careful of kids or beginner swimmers. Farther you get out, you'll get more sand but that is much deeper. Goderich is always worth a visit.
