The Glenrosa restaurant is the best place to get a takeout pizza. My husband and I both had the DOLCE DIAVOLA pizza, his was a regular crust and mine was gluten free. They were both divine! Such a delicious combination of tangy and spicy with a touch of sultry sweetness on a thin crust. The amounts of Alpindon and fresh mozzarella cheeses were so perfect that they only enhanced the other flavours and brought everything together with their creamy texture and fresh taste. We ordered a bottle of 2018 DESERT HILLS CACTUS RED BLEND (a personal favorite) to enjoy with the pizza as well as a FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE TORTE for dessert. The torte was decadent with its sea salted ganache, Bailey's whipped cream and caramel sauce and the generous portion was enough for us to share. The flavours and textures complimented each other deliciously and was gluten free to boot! My husband and I highly recommend the Glenrosa restaurant. We have always loved our meals there and enjoy catching up with hosts, Jane and Gillian. They and their family are always gracious, personable and very friendly and they run a top notch operation even with a pandemic going on.

Glenrosa Farm Restaurant is such a warm and inviting restaurant that you'd be forgiven for not noticing what a fine culinary experience it also offers. Brunch has become its regular star offering, but don't forget about its occasional yet spectacular dinner events. We luckily happened to check the website and found that "pizza night" was about to happen. We were so glad to have been one of the five occupied tables on a Saturday night. Delicious homemade crusts, including available gluten-free ones (also made in house), were the basis of these delightfully conceived pies, which featured local ingredients, house made sausages, amazing cheeses and local mushrooms. Appetizer small plates were a treat: roasted eggplant, potato and leek soup, ravioli -- all beautifully plated, each a wonder of balance, flavour and nuance. Desserts were not to be missed, especially the date pudding. All of this was presented with such simple grace that we left feeling revived as well as nourished. Owner Jane also has an extraordinary way with children and puzzles. A true delight all around.

Total hidden gem of a place. Good service and food. Worth the trip out. If you're really adventurous ride your bike out.

Everything about this little gem in Metchosin is exemplary. The setting, the farm house is situated on a hill over looking the fields and valleys. They have done a fabulous job of restoring the old farmhouse but still in keeping with it's original era. The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. The food is always delicious and unique. The only bad thing I can say is as of today it is closing due to the ridiculous zoning rules in Metchosin. The fools on the city council have just lost one of their precious gems due to their inflexibility. Definitely our loss.

What an amazing food experience. Literally the best food we have eaten in a very long time. From from the most delicious salad dressing EVER to the magical dessert. The 125 year old apple orchard which is used for the apple cider dressing is AMAZING!!! The service was also above the notch with smiles that were not obtrusive but there when you wanted them to be. The main meals were spectacular and we were morning every bite. Truly a wonderful dining experience with a killer view to top it off.

This is one of Metchosin’s best kept secrets. The Glenrosa Farm Restaurant is a beautiful renovated farm house that was first built in 1858 (before Canada). It overlooks a beautiful valley and bay nearby. The location is ideal for small weddings, and they even do barn dances! The food is incredible too. A great place to stop by for afternoon tea if you’re up for an adventure. Definitely looking forward to our next visit!
