A hidden treasure along the southern bank of the Sydenham. Entrance at the Southeastern corner of the Pratt Siding Bridge and the end of the Buttonwood, but that remains unmarked and somewhat rough. The best way to experience this reserve, IMO is by canoe or small kayak. The upstream edge of the reserve, towards Alvinston is marked by a green and white diamond sign along the south bank and just further downstream a huge Sycamore (Buttonwood). The Eastern tract was purchased by the Sydenham Field Naturalists as a natural reserve.

This place is amazing . So much biodiversity and breath taking little views. Don't miss this secret gem that is Ontario Nature's newest nature reserve. Trails are not constructed or posted but this and the near by Carolinean Canada signature site access point are one of the top places natural places to visit in southern Ontario.
Phenomenal flower display ,bluebells .then back to alvinston to armors ale house for a beverage and a bite
Carolinian Forest at it's finest. What a rare treat!
I just drove 45 minutes to stand in mud at a dead end road. No trails, and no trespassing? Is this nature reserve not open to the public? Super disappointing.
