First time at a scrap yard for me. I had some old pots and pans and a filing cabinet. Better to scrap than put in a landfill. Folks were friendly and cheerful. I didnt know how to start. Ie gate 1. Would recommend a sign at their Mavis entrance that lets novices like me know to start at their Central Parkway entrance. 20lbs of scrap got me 1.50. Happy to know it may get repurposed instead of part of a landfill

Nice place for a small yard. A very busy but definitely has a flow to it. Prices were good for most items. Definitely has changed in the past five years, all for the better. I'll be back when I have work in the area.
I had a job nearby this scrap yard and decided to scrap my copper. I wanted to tip but they didn't accept and they asked to put up a review instead. Prices were good and service was friendly. The time I was there it was really busy and very congested with traffic up front where I was scrapping. I would offer a suggestion to get someone to organize the small and big trucks up front to make it safer but other than that it was a good experience and I felt I got a good value for my scrap copper and brass.
First time scrapping any metal. I have lots of time cleaning out my garage and backyard. So I contacted them through the website and they responded quickly. Guys in the back were helpful and helped me figure out the process. It was a good experience and its way better getting some money for something I would normally pay to get rid of at the dump.
This is the first time I have been to a scrap yard. I wanted to avoid paying waste fees at the dump for metal. I called them and they were friendly. I drove into the yard, which was busy and a little confusing but the guy on the phone told me to park in front of the yellow barriers. two crew member came over to look what I had and told me how to sort the material to make the most money. I did have to weigh twice, once for a dishwasher and the other for plumbing fixtures. The had a good Covid 19 policy of one customer at a time in the scale house and they had an ATM to pay out cash, which was much more than I expected. I wanted to tip the crew because they were so helpful and cheerful in such hot weather but they told me to give a review instead, so here it is.
