Great get away under 2 hours away from Toronto. Hidden gem with nice still and warm waters. Requires a private boat to access. The camping places is surrounded by scenic hikes in the forest on the island. Wooden platforms are provided to setup a tent on the rocky ground. Washroom facilities with no showers are available.

First visit to this park. Part of the experience is a boat ride to the island. Wonderful time. Well maintained despite recent winter damage to some of the board walks. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of wildlife (snakes, turtles, porcupine). We are likely to be back.

Natural beauty but 2 hours from Toronto, but wow, if you go in the summer you'd hardly know this is a national park. We visited this weekend via the day tripper. On arrival, clearly this is a popular place. Chimney Bay was packed with yachts and boats that seem to just drop anchor wherever they fancy and the shoreline isn't much better, rib boats dumped up on the rocks are a common sight. We head inland to brief serenity, but shortly come upon Honeymoon Bay, apparently great for a quick dip if you can tolerate the stink eye you'll get from all the overnight campers that are angry you've come to their spot. We did finally come across a few pieces of wildlife on the Massasauga trail; a few grass snakes, woodpecker, frogs, chipmunk and a blue heron, but on the return we find some kids wading waste deep through what is clearly wildlife preserve. To be at one with nature here, it seems you need to live with the mosquitoes on the Cambrian trail. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful place and we will be back in cooler and quieter times. Parks Canada, you need to better monitor the day usage of this place as people treat it like a holiday park.

Spectacular. Just Spectacular! Speechless when we boat around here, and hike and swim and fish. Love it. (Havent camped here (yet).

This park is absolutely charming. The park staff are exceptional and extremely knowledgeable. The trails are quiet and calming. I really appreciated learning about the history of the island and feel thankful to have been able to stay in one of the beautiful cabins. The last weekend in September is a wonderful time to visit! Also - the boat ride to the island is a blast!

Honey Harbour is a nice little town off the main highway. Camping at six mile lake was ok. Beautiful scenery.
