In 2017, we buried our dog Coco at the Ancaster Pet Cemetery under contract with Pets Above. Pets Above was a family-operated business, but it appears that they've been sold to Gateway Pet Memorial. When we visited the grave on September 20th, we were horrified and saddened to set the decrepit mess you see in the second picture. The grave has been demolished - the stones are gone, the granite has been split in two, even the little dog angel figurine is nowhere to be found. Not only that, there are clear tire marks over the grave - even the headstone supplied by Pets Above is being pushed under the ground by continuous damage by an ATV or John Deere type mower. We are in despair seeing this! I emailed Gateway Sunday night and late Monday - someone from customer service responded but didn't acknowledge anything was wrong despite seeing the before/after pics. As of the time of writing, no one has contacted me to resolve this! We can't bear to look at this image and think how both we and our dog have been utterly disrespected and disregarded. I paid 1,300 for this grave and plaque. Edit to add - On November 7th we returned to the cemetery as we had been advised that Gateway had restored the grave, with apologies. It appears to have been put back together with the original cement trim. Although the angel statue is surely gone, the work done to repair the damage has been done to our satisfaction, and with thanks. We are relieved to be able to move past this and achieve peace. Thank you.
