My favourite place to vacation! Beautiful, peaceful, fun helping with the animals. Great swimming and hiking nearby. Amazing garden to pick your veggies from and fresh eggs. Sue is the ultimate host, making sure your cottage is clean and comfortable and sharing her knowledge. And I got to brush a donkey!

We were at Foymount farm during Victoria’s day long weekend. The cottages are very clean, tidy and well furnished. We lived in cottage 2 which was perfect and spacious for 6 people. Adjacent to our cottage was a farm which has lambs, sheep’s, donkey, horses, chickens; it was a blissful sight every morning to see animals grazing near you. My daughter played with them most of the time all the animals are very clean. Sue patiently answers all our questions regarding farming, horses and nature. Morning and evening farm activities and horse riding made our trip a memorable one. Thanks Sue for having us we will surely visit you next year.
Everything was perfect and better than expected, we stayed in Cottage 1 it was very spacious for us a family of 5, we enjoyed our stay alot, kids enjoyed the horse backriding farmchores, it was a great experience for ys all. Sue's hospitality was impeccable, she offered her veggie garden, eggs and anything we were missing she offered delightly for us. There is a beach 5mns drive and another one 20 mns drive and both were very shallow and safe for young ones, I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back again.
If you have young kids, take them Foymount Farm! You’ll love it. We stayed four days with our toddlers (3 and 1.5) and we were all sad to leave. The kids loved their morning and evening chores (feeding the animals, putting them away at night, and letting them out into the fields in the morning, collecting the eggs) and the horse riding in the morning. Sue is amazing with kids and very patient: she made Oliver and Emily feel at home so much that when it was time to leave, our little, usually reserved, Oliver asked if Sue was coming with us. We all learnt a great deal about self-sustainable farming, about life on the farm, and about animals and horses (Sue is also a horse trainer). Every day we went on a horse ride, and even 1.5-year-old Emily loved it! The farm is in a great location, remote enough to feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but close to little villages, supermarkets, and attractions like Lake Clear, and the Bonnechere caves.
great place to bring the whole family including the dogs. Lots of space to roam and pet the friendly farm animals. Pony rides for the children and a safe beach nearby.
