This review is specifically for the Foundry Tavern. First off, their food is great. Really enjoyed my meal. But I'm writing this review in early July of 2020. COVID-19 is exploding in the USA and we just got it under control in here at home. We have been trying to support local businesses during this time, ordering delivery from local businesses, and occasionally going to an open air patio for brunch since they reopened, as long as we were given assurances that the staff were wearing masks and being careful about things. This had been going fine until my family went for brunch at Foundry Tavern. Some of the staff wore masks, however roughly 50% did not. Several of the staff blatantly disregarded social distancing, both themselves and enforcing it upon their guests. Some of the non-mark wearing staff were definitely in the 'COVID is a hoax and I'll prove it by getting in your face' demographic. One in particular was into every tables business, touching guests, taking condiment containers directly from one table to another without sanitation, and generally doing everything in her power to assure that if anyone in that patio had COVID, everyone else would as well. As soon as we saw this (at first we didn't even notice the staff not wearing masks, as our server was) we quickly up and left. I'd like to say this was a few bad apples, but a manager/owner of the location was dining at the restaurant (staff was asking logistical questions of this guy while his kids played and milled around other guests tables) and he was being served by the maskless server. So clearly the management is OK with this behavior. Honestly if these guys give so little f--ks about our safety as guests during a pandemic, I have no faith that they run a clean operation at any time. For the record, its now been 5 days and I have a runny nose, not a prime COVID symptom but I'm off to get tested. F this place, never again.
